Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Nil = 0

The “nil” (all zeros) UUID.

Mac = 1

Version 1: Timestamp and node ID.

Dce = 2

Version 2: DCE Security.

Md5 = 3

Version 3: MD5 hash.

Random = 4

Version 4: Random.

Sha1 = 5

Version 5: SHA-1 hash.

SortMac = 6

Version 6: Sortable Timestamp and node ID.

SortRand = 7

Version 7: Timestamp and random.

Custom = 8

Version 8: Custom.

Max = 255

The “max” (all ones) UUID.
