Per-arity descriptions of the three scalar function shapes.
A Shape answers the questions that differ between EagerUnaryFunc,
EagerBinaryFunc, and EagerVariadicFunc. Adding a modifier to an arity means
adding a row to that arity’s table here, not writing expansion code.
